Great for a large space. I could not tell from the photo on line that the pattern on the glass makes a "rose" design. I thought it was just "wavy."
In retrospect, I would have chosen the "pleated" glass version, but this one is nearly as good.
Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

The fixture looks teriffic....my husband is a contractor and he said it was by far the hardest fixture to install of any he has seen.

beautiful fixture - heavy and tough to hang

Bought the 36" size. Came very well packed and protected on a wood skid - shipping weight 105 lbs. The fixture weighs over 70 lbs and required 3 electricians to hang it. Looks great up.
